Richard Ryder, Jr.

Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for Richard Wayne Ryder, Jr. on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Pastor Rodney Ryder will conduct the service.

Richard, age 40, a resident of Breaux Bridge, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Richard loved music especially playing his guitar. He also enjoyed painting. Richard was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Richard Ryder, Sr. and Julie Ryder of Sulphur; son, Devon Ryder of Breaux Bridge; his companion, Sherie Hulin; stepdaughter, Taylor Vice of Breaux Bridge; sister, Casey Kellebrew (Josh) of Sulphur; and maternal grandmother, Mary Lee Badeaux of Sulphur.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Whitney and Ella Ryder; and maternal grandfather, Johnny Badeaux.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. Visitation will resume on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
