Lowell Nezat

Opelousas- Lowell "Deano" Nezat entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2021 at the age of 83, at his home. Per the families wishes a private memorial service will be held in his memory following his request to be cremated.

Deano, as he was affectionately known, was fiercely committed to his wife, his five sons and precious grandchildren. He loved to play music and had many happy memories at the radio station. He could refurbish anything from lawn mowers to antique armoires. His contagious smile, lively spirit and tenacious work ethic endeared him to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him

Deano is survived by his wife of 61 years, Deanna Nezat of Opelousas; sons, Dennis Nezat of Opelousas, Kenneth Nezat (Joni) of Madisonville, David Nezat of Lafayette, Chad Nezat (Christine Leblanc) of Eunice, and Ron Nezat (Michelle) of Opelousas; grandchildren, Jolane Blackstock (Jeremey) of Gonzales, Kolt Nezat (Jennifer) of Eunice, Spencer Nezat (Jessica Becnel) of Lafayette, Jackson Kervin of Pineville, Emily Nezat of Opelousas, Caleb Nezat of Fort Collins, Colorado, Katrina Nezat of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Meredith Nezat of Opelousas; great grandchildren, Tristan and Caleb Blackstock of Gonzales; brother, Windell Keith Nezat (Cindy) of Lafayette.

Deano is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
