Opelousas – A Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Lois Clary York on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service.

Lois, age 91, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Opelousas General Health System with her loving family by her side.

Lois loved spending time outdoors and tending to her garden. She also enjoyed playing pokeno with friends. Lois will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lois is survived by her sister, Corine Clary Lee; nephews, Mike Robin and wife, Cindy and Lee Robin; nieces, Liz Austin and husband, Robbie, Linda Sonnonstine and husband, Tommy, Lezlie Boyd and husband, Larry.

Lois is preceded by her husband, Daniel Clinton York; parents, Lee Joseph Clary and Regina Reaux Clary; sister, Marie “Bal” Clary Robin and husband, Billy; brother-in-law, Arthur E. Lee; and niece, Camille R. Robicheaux.

Pallbearers will be her family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Lois’ caretakers; Chad, Lisa, and Bailey Hanks, for all the love and compassion they have shown throughout the years.
