Port Barre – A Funeral Service will be held for Dana Lynn Fontenot on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Port Barre. Deacon Jerry Wyble will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Dana, age 39, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her residence.

Dana served her community as a registered nurse for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Dana will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Logan Lee Fontenot of Port Barre; daughters, May Fontenot and Macy Lynn Fontenot both of Port Barre; stepson, Cameron Fontenot of New Mexico; parents, Robert Lamke, Sr. and Bett Lynn Dedon Lamke; brothers, John Lamke of Opelousas, Robert Lamke, Jr. and wife, Alesia of Port Barre and Arthur Lamke and wife, Pamela of Port Barre; sisters, Evelyn Courville and Danielle Lamke and husband, Dale Wyble all of Port Barre; godchildren, Kade Richard and Annie Lamke; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, SSG Jarred Seth Fontenot; and brother-in-law, Barry Courville.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. (OPEN ALL NIGHT) until time of service on Saturday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
