Caleb Doucet

Opelousas – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Caleb Alexander Doucet on Monday, March 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Peter Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Fr. Daniel Picard will celebrate the mass. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.

Caleb entered into eternal rest at just 20 years young, on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Caleb was a resident of Grand Prairie and a student at SLCC since 2019. Caleb was known as the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Caleb was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and lived to fish. He will be fondly remembered for giving the best hugs. Caleb will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Caleb is survived by his parents, Kyle and Allison Doucet of Grand Prairie; sisters, Kelsey Doucet of New Orleans and Olivia Doucet Thomas (Andrew) of Grand Prairie; his girlfriend, Aubrey Foret of Ville Platte; his uncle & parain, Don Buller (Kay); his uncles, Wynn Buller (Shala), Will Buller (Ryan) and Shawn Doucet (Shani); his aunt & nanny, Marcie LeBlanc (Kent), Lisha Doucet (Tom), Nancy Buller and Deedee Buller; his paternal grandparents, Alden and Marie Doucet of Grand Prairie; his maternal grandparents, Paul Buller of Garland and Shirley Marcus (Malcolm) of Opelousas.

Caleb is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Regile  Alexander and Joycie Doucet, Clarence and Ruby Deshotel, Shirley and Ruth Soileau, George and Rita Buller; and his cousins, Michael Alexander Buller and Jared Buller.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
