Trena Ardoin

PORT BARRE– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Trena Marks Ardoin on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Trena, age 55, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

During high school, Trena was a member of the band, the FBLA and the 4-H club. Trena became the owner and operator of Trophy World and Screen Printing. She made t-shirts and trophies for the Cracklin Festival and Etouffee Festival. Trena enjoyed camping with family and friends; and going crabbing at their camp in Grand Isle. She was an avid LSU and Saints fan and enjoyed cheering them on at the football games. Trena loved crafting, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Trena will be remembered for being the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, MawTee and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Shannon Ardoin; parents, Harry and Margaret Marks; son, Derek Richard (Mckenzie Richard); daughters, Robyn Andrus (Rocky Andrus) and Jana Hebert (Shane Hebert); sisters, Sandy Ortego (Mitch Ortego) and Anna Marks Carpenter (John Carpenter); 11 grandchildren; Gavin Glasscock, Jazmin Glasscock, Trey Jones, Tori Jones, Kaylee Fontenot, Bentley Andrus, Braxton Andrus, Drake Hebert, Chandler Hebert, Jace Richard and Emersyn Richard; her caregiver, Dennis Ardoin; godchildren, Terry Ortego (Angela Ortego), Alexis (Jon) Stelly and their kids, Easton, Ryker, Julian, Myleigh and Jonah; nieces, Carly McCaulley (Shawn) and their kids, Paisley Shoemaker, Mallory Gillen (Tristin Barker) and their kids, Karter and baby girl Barker.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Amy Marks and Louis and Anna Moran; stepdaughter, Kassi Ardoin; sisters-in-law, Karen Lanclos, Loretta Stubblefield and Dannie Ardoin; father-in-law, Cliff Ardoin; and mother-in-law, Joy Ardoin.

Pallbearers will be Joby Thomassee, Terry Ortego, Dwayne Deville, Chris Ardoin, Cliff Ardoin, Jr., and Gavin Glasscock. Honorary pallbearers, Kent Aymond and Dennis Ardoin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
