Roger Lanclos

Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Roger Dale Lanclos on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow in the St. Leo Mausoleum in Leonville.

Roger, age 69, a resident of Carencro, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Roger was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tiger. He enjoyed bowling with his team, The Unpredictable’s. Roger was in the package delivery business for over 30 years, and owned R.D. Lanclos, INC., he played just as hard as he worked. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Roger is survived by his loving spouse of 26 years, Lucille Hollier of Carencro; son, Michael Hollier, (Jody) of Morro Bay, CA; daughters, Rachel Touzet, (Scott) of Pensacola, FL, Laura Lanclos, (John) of Ville Platte, Krista Post, (Brian) of Bradington, FL, Christina Sharp, (James) of Orange, TX; brother, Charles Lanclos, (Pam) of Port Barre; sister, Glenda Dugas, (Bobby) of Opelousas; and 13 grandchildren.

Roger is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lanclos; parents, Clifton and Virginia Lanclos; and brother, Terry Gene Lanclos.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
