Rita Jeffers

PORT BARRE- A Private Graveside Service will be held for Rita C. Jeffers at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service.

Rita, age 78, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Jeffers and his wife, Becky of Richard, Kenneth Paul Jeffers and his wife, Burnella of Port Barre, John “Tony” Jeffers and his wife, Christy of Bayou Chicot; her daughters, Carlene Pham and her husband, Trinh of Opelousas and Vicky Fontenot of Natchitoches; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lester Paul Jeffers; parents, John Castille, Sr. and Gertie Ortego Castille; brothers, Ray Allen Castille, John Castille, Jr. and Nelson Castille; sisters, Amy Robin and Helena Sonnier.
