Joseph "Bubba" Brown

Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Joseph “Bubba” Brandon Brown on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Deacon Ulysse Joubert  will conduct the service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited tentatively at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Bubba, age 42, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bubba was known for having the best sense of humour anyone could ask for; he could make anyone laugh and often times laughed at his own jokes. No one could tell a story like him and he could offer the funniest details to every conversation. You couldn’t help but fall in love with his sense of humour and his outlook of life. Without hesitation Bubba would offer help to anyone. He never met a stranger. Bubba had a great loved for animals especially his dogs, Bubba, Jr. and Bella.

Bubba loved his niece, Faith and his godson, Preston, with all his heart. He treated them as his own children, they were his pride and joy. Bubba lived life with such enthusiasm and could find the positive in any situation. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bubba is survived by his parents, Joseph and Janice Venable Brown; sister, Chrissie Klein and husband, Rory; his niece, Faith Klein; his nephew and godson, Preston Klein; and paternal grandmother, Ozea Marie Noel.

Bubba was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wilsey Noel; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Iris Richard Venable; and maternal great-grandfather, Ira Richard; paternal great-grandfather, Joseph A. Brown.
