Port Barre - A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane Vidrine will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the Mass. Rite of committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mrs. Jane, age 89, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Dora enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed being outdoors and going fishing. Mrs. Jane loved visiting with family and friends and could be found waiting on her porch. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Turling Vidrine and wife, Billie Jo Vidrine, Jessie Vidrine, Jr. and wife, Carol, Blaine Vidrine and wife, Allyson, and Alvin Vidrine and wife, Cindy; daughters, Connie Godeaux, and husband, Isaac and Fanny Bragg and husband, Donald; brothers, Eddie Leger, Jr., Martin Leger and Leroy Leger; sisters, Leona Leger and Marie Comeaux; 15 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Joseph Vidrine, Sr.; grandson, Turling “Brant” Vidrine; great-granddaughter, Blakelynn Godeaux; brother, L.B. Leger; and sisters, Pearl Deville, Neva Vidrine, and infant Geneva Leger.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. (open all night) in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. The rosary will be recited by Deacon Mitch Hebert at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Jessie “Tiny”, Blaine, Alvin, Turling, Isaac and Donald.
