Bertha Marks

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bertha Marks at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday and will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Bertha, age 86, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Marks and his wife, Marcia of Krotz Springs, Tommy Marks and his wife, Bonnie of Port Barre, Yvonne Clark and her husband, Mike of Port Barre; brother, Sidney Bellard, Jr. and his wife, Freddie of Mandeville; sisters, Verna LeJeune of Carencro, and Linda Nezat of Opelousas; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marks; her parents, Sidney and Agnes Bellard; grandson, William Ray Marks; and brother-in-law, Charles “Nicky” Nezat.
