Barbara Parker

October 21, 1944 — December 9, 2021

Opelousas – A Memorial will be held for Barbara Parker at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the Atchafalaya Presbyterian Church in Bayou Current, LA. Grave side memorial to follow in the Gordon Plantation Memorial Cemetery in Bayou Current. Barbara, age 77, a resident of Baker, LA, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA.

Barbara’s love and compassion was unconditional for everyone she knew and met. She touched so many lives. Her faith never wavered for all the years after she lost her soulmate, Bill. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and a true woman of God. She loved her family more than anything especially Dal, Dana, and her grandkids and great granddaughter. She cherished every minute she could be with them. “Give me a kiss” and “I love you more” were just a couple things she would tell them all the time.

She kept her witty sense of humor through it all even with her daily struggles with pain and illness. We find comfort knowing that Our Lord and Savior welcomed her into His kingdom where there was a glorious reunion with her husband Bill, her sister Bonnie, her granddaughter Chelsea and all her family and friends that passed before her. She is forever healed and no longer in pain, dancing in heaven, and drinking and spilling diet Dr Peppers and watching over every move we make!

Barbara is survived by her son, Dal Parker of Melville, daughter, Dana P. Tullier and her husband, Tim of Baker, LA, grandchildren, Tristan Tullier and his wife, Heather, Tyler Parker, Maci Parker, great-granddaughter, Sophia Caminita.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Parker, parents, Ory and Ora Bonnette, sister, Bonnie Galviano, granddaughter, Chelsea Tullier
