Port Barre – A funeral service will be held for Avery Charles Hudson on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Pastor Benji Richard will officiate the Service Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Avery, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 46. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
Avery is survived by his fiancé, Dawn Manuel Lafleur of Opelousas, his father, Avery Toby Hudson and his wife, Wanda of Prairieville, his mother, Darlene Bergeron Hudson and her fiancé, Dennis Janice of Sunset, son, Ty Charles Hudson of Semmes, Alabama, daughters, Logan Michelle Bissett and her husband, Kaleb of Semmes, Alabama, Cameron Alyse Hudson of Port Barre, and Kaitlyn Violet Martin of Fort Worth, Texas, step daughters, Lauren Paige Lafleur, Ashley Danielle Lafleur and Macie Lynn Lafleur, sister, Melody Hudson Barron and her husband, Kevin of Leonville, grandchildren, Hanley Elizabeth Bissett and Ryker Brandt Bissett, step grandchildren, Taylin Brooke Guidroz and Jace Owen Guidroz, niece, Brianna Barron Day, nephew and godchild, Trent Barron.
Avery is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph Yves Bergeron, Sr. and Clemmie Guidroz Bergeron, paternal grandparents, Charles Ray Hudson and Elmay Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. And will resume on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 7:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Barron, Trent Barron, Charles Cook, Mark Olivier, Brennan Lafleur, and Michael Barron.
