Allen Boutte, Sr.

Jarreau- A Graveside Service will be held for Mr. Allen “Shorty” Boutte, Sr. on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Chenal Cemetery in Jarreau.

Allen, age 83, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

Allen was a considered a jack of all trades and was always willing to lend anyone a helping hand. His favorite hobbies were fishing and carpentry work. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Landry Boutte; sons, Mark Anthony Boutte, Allen Boutte, Jr., Terry Boutte, Tony Boutte; daughters, Sue Marie Dyess, Vanessa Ann Boutte, Vicky Ann Thibodeaux and Tammy Marie Dabel; 13 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Keith Boutte; parents, Clovis Boutte, Sr. and Amelina Sonnier Boutte; brothers, Larry Boutte and Clovis Boutte, Jr.; and grandson, Christopher Boutte.
