Alice Verrette

Opelousas– A Funeral Service will be held for Alice Joubert Verrette on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Glynn Foreman will conduct the service. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Alice, age 70, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 8, 2022 at her residence in Rayne surrounded by her loving family.

Alice loved being outdoors, going camping and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her positive light she shined on the world. Alice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alice is survived by her fiancé, Raymond Cormier; son, Blair Verrette and wife, Beth; daughter, Tammy Verrette; sister, Ethel Hecard; 3 grandchildren, Ireland Verrette, Finley Verrette, and Landry Verrette.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Byron “Dale” Verrette; parents, Reme and Thelma Joubert; brother, Raymond Joubert; and sister, Shirley Dohmann.

Pallbearers will be Wade Dohmann, Raymond Dohmann, Leland Dohmann, Corey Cookmeyer, David Raynes and Nathan Cormier.
