Yves Bergeron Jr., affectionately known as Harry, was born on July 25, 1962, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He peacefully passed away on August 19, 2023, at Opelousas General Hospital. Harry's obituary will reflect the respect and admiration that surrounded his life.

Harry grew up in a big, loving family, with his parents Clemmie Guidroz and Yves Bergeron Sr. by his side. His childhood was filled with joy and the support of his siblings. Harry valued family above all else and cherished each moment spent with them. They shared countless memories together and provided unwavering support to one another.

Throughout his life, Harry impacted many lives with his warm heart and kind demeanor. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. Harry is survived by his son David Brad Bergeron and daughter Megan Alyse Bergeron. He adored them dearly.

Harry is also survived by his siblings Donald Bergeron, Frank Lee Bergeron, Wayne Bergeron, Albert Ray Bergeron, Eva Rose B. Taylor, Geraldine B. Taylor, Linda B. Nicholas, Darlene B. Hudson, Francis Bergeron, Wilton Bergeron, and Rita Bergeron. He is preceded  in death by his brothers Ronald Bergeron, and Antoine Bergeron and sisters Brenda B. Dupont and Gloria Ann Bergeron.

Harry had several grandchildren, Paxtyn Anthony Bergeron, Gauge Bradley Bergeron, Riley Lancer Bergeron, Cash Yves Bergeron, Damien Riot Bergeron, and Mia Abigail Bergeron.

Harry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and genuine connections with others. He proved that kindness and compassion could make a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. In times of joy or sorrow, Harry's unwavering support and comforting presence were invaluable.

The news of Harry's passing is deeply saddening for everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. However, we find solace in knowing that his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.


The family would like to say a special thanks to his fiance, Cheryl Sonnier for loving Harry so deeply.

Rest in peace, dear Yves Bergeron Jr., your spirit will forever resonate within us.

A private service will be held at a later date.
