Wilbert G. Credeur
Port Barre- Funeral services for Mr. Wilbert G. Credeur, known to many as Butt, age 81, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Nicky Trahan will celebrate the Mass.
Mr. Credeur was a native of the Scott area and was a long time resident of Port Allen. He died on October 21, 2009, at his residence. He was a truck driver for Ray Marchand Construction for over 35 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Credeur Guilbeau and husband, Preston of Belle Rose; one brother, Walter Credeur of Opelousas; three grandchildren: David Guilbeau of Gonzales; Joey Digirolamo of Baton Rouge; and Andy Credeur and wife, Ashley of Walker; three great-grandchildren: Claire, Hailey, and Cameron Credeur all of Walker; and a special cousin, Raymond Credeur of Port Allen.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Credeur; son, Curley Credeur; infant twin sons: John and Joseph Credeur; parents: Raul Credeur and Clauida Schexneider Credeur; and sister, Eula Mae Guidroz.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time off service.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
