Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Bro. Kenneth Hudson will conduct the service. Rite of Committal will follow at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wade, age 81, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2020, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Lafayette surrounded by his loving family.
Wade enjoyed talking on his CB radio - “Hanging Judge” was his handle. He also loved being outdoors hunting and working on lawn mowers, bicycles and four wheelers. Wade enjoyed listening to music and sitting on the porch waving at everyone that passed. His hobby was garage shopping and his motto was “everybody’s trash is somebody’s treasure”, and he made sure every great-grandchild had a power wheel. When on a road trip, he always had a story behind every road sign. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Aline Rourks Hudson of Port Barre, his daughters, Tara Rena Adams, Tracy Faye Godeaux, Shirley Mae Reviere, and Susan Faith Cox, and his sons, Ricky Wade Hudson and Michael Wade Hudson, twenty seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nieces, Reesa Nicholson and Barbara Gaudet, nephews, Randy McDaniel, Robby Hudson, Bobby Hudson, Kenneth Hudson and Toby Hudson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Avery Toby Hudson and Rena Sonnier Hudson, sister, Margaret Hudson McDaniel, brothers, Robert Lee Hudson, and Charles Ray “Peewee” Hudson, and grandson, Nicholas Scott Reviere.
Pallbearers will be some of his grandchildren, Tyler Adams, Chase Godeaux, Seth Godeaux, Derik Godeaux, Travis Menard, Joshua Menard, Hailey Reviere and Holly Reviere.
Honorary pallbearers, which was his “pride and joy”, will be his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to help cover costs of funeral.
