Violet Quebedeaux

Grand Coteau -A Mass of Christian Burial for Violet Mae Quebedeaux will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau. Reverend Austin Leger will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Quebedeaux, age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her residence. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Quebedeaux and wife, Monica of Arnaudville; daughters, Rayla Q. Melancon and husband, Terry of Carencro, Michele Prejean and husband, Lane of Eunice, Melissa Vincent and husband, Matthew of Lafayette; brother, Frank "Bud" Gilmore of Ohio; sisters, Faye Utter of West Virginia and Betty Moneypenny of West Virginia. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in the death by her husband, Rayland Jean Quebedeaux and her parents, Frank and Sylvia Gilmore.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. A Rosary service will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
