Port Barre- With deep love and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Terry Jude Stanford a Port Barre Louisiana resident who entered into eternal rest on June 20th, 2026, at the age of 70.

Funeral service will be held for Terry on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

Terry lived a Life filled with passion warmth and unwavering devotion to the people and animals he loved. For 35 years he was a loving and committed husband to his wife, Gwen. He was a proud and supportive father to his children Angie, Dustan, Michael, and Brandon always anchoring his family with his generous spirit. Terry was a man of many talents and a dedicated worker, building a diverse career both as a skilled x-ray technician and a charismatic car salesman. Outside of work Terry's vibrant personality shone through his many hobbies he was an avid pool player who welcomed a good game, a passionate LSU fan, you could be certain he would be watching his favorite Paul Finebaum show daily. He was someone who found a unique peace in listening to soulful blues music and watching the raw power of bad weather roll in. Terry's heart belongs to his family and animals. He had a profound love for dogs tremendously spoiling his beloved "pups" at every opportunity. He expressed his love, most famously through his cooking. Terry loves to prepare large meals for everyone, and it became a cherished tradition that on birthdays he would personally cook his loved ones they're absolute favorite meals. His kitchen was always a place of comfort, laughter, and full bellies.

Terry is preceded in death by his loving mother, Violet Estillette Stanford, his father, Austin Stanford, and his brother Brian Stanford.

His memory and legacy will be carried on by his survivors, his devoted wife, Gwen Stanford, and his children Angela Stanford, Dustan Stanford, Michael Solar, and Brandon Solar his cherished grandchildren, Gracie Tilley, Layla Stanford, Gunnar Stanford, and Nevaeh Solar also his precious great-grandchildren Nomi Guillory, Alex Laboy Jr and Isla Jude Dunbar.
