Terry and Judy Richard

PORT BARRE- A Funeral Service will be held for Terry and Judy Barron Richard at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Pastor Joe Jenkins will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Church from 9:00 a.m. till the time of service. Burials will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Port Barre.

Terry and Judy, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025. They will both be dearly missed by all that knew and loved them.

Terry served in the United States Army, receiving the medal of honor. They both loved and poured their life to their children and grandchildren. Terry and Judy loved to travel all over the United States.

They are survived by their children, Megan Diaville (Kevin) of Port Barre, Monica Harvey (Jamie) of Deridder, LA, Michelle Love (Manor) of Opelousas, and Marcus Richard (Wendy) of Port Barre; grandchildren, Fara Descant, Gage Harvey, Travis Lanclos, Caleb Diaville and Cassie Diaville, Kailey Richard, Kade Richard, Konner Richard, and Karter Richard; great-grandchildren, Audrey Torian, Sabrina Descant, Rhett Lanclos, Tuff Lanclos, Landree Harvey and Jamie Harvey.

Terry is survived by his sisters, Linda Guillory of Lake Charles, Tammy Sanders (Pat) of Eunice, Patricia Shaw (Mark) of Many, LA.

Judy survives by her brother, Dale Barron (Cindy) of Port Barre; sisters, Cheryl Leger (Leroy) of Port Barre, Jackie Guidroz of Port Barre, Pat Gauthier (Bobby) of Port Barre, and Pris LeJeune (Steven) of Port Barre,

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Eva Noel Richard; and brother-in-law, Edward Guillory.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Lennis and Bernice Barron; brother, Nelson Barron; sisters, Linda Stermer and Bridget Quebedeaux.
