Sylvia was a true leader and inspiration in her community, a willing leader; helping the youth to have confidence to succeed as well. Her attributes were leading by example, strength and endurance; giving back to her family, friends and community; having hope and showing love to all she met. Sylvia and Lowell Sibille were founders of Sibille Funeral Home, which has flourished since 1972 and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. The success of the funeral homes is due in large part to Sylvia’s true caring and compassion for the families she has served.

She battled Alzheimer’s for more than 15 years and through it all, she never lost her love for the Lord, family, and friends. Until she couldn’t speak, she would always say, “The Lord has blessed me”.
