Opelousas Graveside service and interment for Sybil Carson Fontenot, 81, were held at 2:00PM on Friday, October 13, 2006, in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Reverend Benny Reppond conducted the services.

Ms. Fontenot, a resident of Opelousas, died at 12:55PM Saturday October 7, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System.

Ms. Fontenot was a sales clerk for Heymann Department Store and was also a sitter for the elderly. Ms. Fontenot loved visiting with friends and family.

Ms. Fontenot is survived by a granddaughter, Vita Fontenot of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Littel Halbert Carson and Marie Louise Eloise Lavergne and a son, Gary Joseph Fontenot.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
