Shelia Fontenot

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Shelia Beadle Fontenot, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park.

Mrs. Shelia, age 61, a resident of Youngsville and native of Opelousas, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Shelia will be remembered as a loving woman who cherished time spent with her family; especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James Dwight Fontenot; her son, Thomas Lee Fontenot; her daughters, Nancy Fontenot Soileau and husband, Craig, Natalie Fontenot Stout and husband, Brian; her step-son, James Lance Fontenot; her mother, Anna Lee Beadle; her sister, Sharon Beadle Smith; her nieces, Brandi Zeringue and Brittani Reddoch; and her 4 grandchildren, Morgan Soileau, Meghan Soileau, Marlee Soileau and Caroline Stout.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Gabriel Beadle and her brother-in-law, James Smith.

The family requests visitation be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary Service will be prayed by Deacon Sammy Diesi at 12:00 noon.
