Opelousas- Funeral service & rosary for Sandra Collette will be on Thursday, August 17, 2023 beginning at 10 AM in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Sammy Diesi officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, with a Rosary to be prayed at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Sandra Theresa Collette, a beloved member of the Opelousas community, passed away on August 9, 2023. Born on July 28, 1945, Sandra lived a life filled with dedication, compassion, and love.

Sandra dedicated an impressive 42 years of her life to American Bank & Trust of Opelousas. Throughout her long tenure at the bank, she held several different roles, showcasing her versatility and commitment. Her hard work, reliability, and warm demeanor made her a valued employee and a trusted friend to many.

Sandra's passion for serving others extended beyond her professional life. She genuinely cared for her customers and took pride in providing exceptional assistance to each person she encountered. Her dedication to helping others was evident in the way she went above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.

Aside from her career achievements, Sandra was known for her beautiful personality. She radiated warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her genuine smile could brighten anyone's day, and her positive attitude was infectious. Sandra had a way of making people feel seen and heard, always offering a listening ear and words of encouragement when needed.

To honor the remarkable life of Sandra Theresa Collette, a visitation will be held on August 17, 2023, at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at the same location. Friends, family members, colleagues, and anyone whose life was touched by Sandra is invited to pay their final respects.

Sandra is survived by her 11 first cousins, and her best friend Deena Courville.

Sandra is preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances Diesi Collette, and her brother, Anthony Joseph Collette.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity close to Sandra's heart. She believed in the power of giving back and helping those in need, and this is a beautiful way to honor her memory.
