Ruth Robin

Leonville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Ruth Robin, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. Reverend Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church mausoleum.

Mrs. Robin, age 92, a resident of Leonville, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home with her family by her side. Mrs. Robin was a dedicated member of the Altar Society at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. She enjoyed cooking for her family, working in the yard, playing bingo and gardening at the nursing home. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Emile Robin and wife, Deborah; daughters, Patsy R. Woods and husband, Young, and Kathleen Credeur and husband, Donald; brother, James Hollier and wife Jean; sister-in-law, Cecile Hollier; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Emile Robin; parents, Ovide and Merida Richard Hollier; brother, Lee Hollier; and granddaughter, Tammy Credeur.

The family requests visitation be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited by Reverend Ken Domingue at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Woods, Kevin Lonseth, Brian Credeur, Mitchell Wyble, Hoss Hogan and Don Bertrand. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lucas Woods, Greg Holloway, Doug Holloway, Kaden Holloway, Ryan Holloway and Ashley Bertrand.
