Port Barre-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosina Camella Savoy at 1:30 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) St. Joseph Hall in Port Barre, La. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the Mass. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. 

Camella, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. She was surrounded by her family at her home. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Camella graduated from AIC in 1961 then attended USL and completed her degree in nursing. She loved people, making Jewelry, and loved praying the rosary for everyone including her family. 

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gilfred “Gil” Savoy, Jr. of Port Barre and their children, Sisley Savoy of Church Point, and Jill Murphy and her husband Jonathan of Church Point, grandchildren, Sydney LaCombe, Jeremiah LaCombe, Kylie Murphy, and Victoria Belleau, great grandchildren, Kaiden Stevens, Sophia Savoy, Lyla LaCombe, Briggs Belleau.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Camille and Theresa Graffignino, son inutero, grandson, Kyle Savoy.
