Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial, for Rosa Belle Richard, age 93, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

Rosa passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, February 26, 2018.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Richard Stroud (Marvin Buller), of Washington, five grandchildren, Tammi Rutledge, Bryan Rutledge, Amber McEachern, (David), Terry Rutledge (Connie), thirteen great grandchildren, and fourteen great great-grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by husband, Leonce Richard, parents, Adolph and Emily Guillory, grand daughter, Lynn Stelly, son-in-law, James Stroud.

The family requests visitation be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 until time of service.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Rutledge, Terry Rutledge, Tony Richard, Leo Richard, Jr., Leo Richard, III, and Clyde Diaville.
