Roma Gail Miller

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Roma Gail Guillory Miller on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00 am. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. A visitation will be held from 8:30 until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. all in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Roma, a beloved homemaker known for her kind and loving nature, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was born in Opelousas on August 14, 1953. Roma was a graduate from Port Barre High School and dedicated her life to caring for her family with unwavering love and devotion.

In her free time, Roma enjoyed camping, sewing, playing cards with her husband, and above all, spending quality time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.

Roma is reunited in heaven with her parents, Essie and Lorena Guillory, her brother Wayne Guillory, and her sister Jo Ann Miller, father and mother in law, Lloyd and Hilda Miller, sister in law, Gerladine Soileau, brother in laws, Darrell Miller and Rodney Miller. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd J. Miller of Port Barre; son, Shane Miller (Dana) of Port Barre; daughter, Shonette Pitre (Kyle) of Ville Platte; sister, Denise Terracina (Kent) of Port Barre; grandchildren, Logan Miller (Caroline), Gage Miller, Lane Miller, Claire Stermer (Dilon), and Austin Pitre; as well as two great-grandchild with another on the way, sister-in-laws , Ella  Mae Soileau, Earline Miller and Annie Lee Cormier. Additionally, she is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Roma Gail's warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of many. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was truly treasured by all who had the privilege to be part of her life.
