Port Barre- Funeral services for Robert Campbell, age 56, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Robert was born in Lafayette, and a long time resident of Port Barre. He died on September 1, 2009, in Point Coupee Parish. Robert worked as a brick layer. He was a very loving person. He enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His work was very important to him. Being a brick layer was his passion.

Mourning his death yet cherishing his memories is his loving wife, Elaine Doucet; his mother, Eula Mae Lalonde Campbell; three children: Sidney Campbell of Lake Charles and wife, Jessika; and Lance Campbell and his fianc, Mary Norris; and Hayley Campbell, all of Port Barre; one brother, Danny Campbell of Lake Charles; six sisters: Betty Stelly of Arnaudville; Lou Belle Green of Sterling, N.Y.; Mary Ann Wyble of Platin; Mary Lee Badeaux of Lake Charles; Rose Stoute of Port Barre; and Mary Lou Henderson of Bryan, TX; and five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father, Sidney Campbell; and his daughter, Shannon Campbell.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre, on Thursday, September 3, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. and will remain open all night until the time of services on Friday.

A Rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
