Rita Comeaux

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rita Comeaux, age 96, on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Fr. Greg Semien will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rita passed away on January 12, 2018 at Opelousas General Health System. She will be sadly missed. She loved to babysit her great nieces and bake.

Survivors include her nephews, John Comeaux of Opelousas, and James Harold Lalonde of Opelousas, nieces, Sherille McComb of League City, Texas, and Grace Trombley of Opelousas, several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emily Venable Comeaux, brother, Levy Comeaux, sister, Laya Lalonde, and brother-in-law, Arthur Lalonde.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 p.m.
