Peggy Doucet

Lafayette- A Celebration of Life Service will be held for, Peggy Miller Doucet, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Landmark Church in Lafayette; with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Pastor Rick Langford will conduct the service.

Peggy, age 65, a resident of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette with her family by her side.

Peggy loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them. She was strong in her faith and a dedicated member of the Landmark Church. Peggy took great pride in taking care of others as a respiratory therapist. She worked for Southwest General Medical Center for ten years and Jennings American Legion Hospital for nine years. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Troy Jonathon Doucet and wife, Jenelle; mother and step-father, Freida and Henry Bevers; mother-in-law, Evelyn Doucet; grandchildren, Corinne Doucet and Jaide Parker; sisters, Cheryl Miller, Karen Domingeaux, Christine Watts, Mary Jane Scott, Terry Grimsley and Sarah Habetz; and brothers-in-law, Mike Doucet and Jimmy Doucet.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Doucet; son, John Allen Doucet II; father; Elroy Louis Miller, Sr.; brothers, Goldman Miller and Elroy Miller, Jr.; sister, Cynthia Rose Miller; and father-in-law, Gilton Gregory Doucet.
