LEONVILLE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Paula Guidry Robin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Paula, age 55, a resident of Port Barre, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Paula enjoyed spending time at camp, cooking and going fishing. She loved to zydeco. Mrs. Paula enjoyed being outdoors cutting= grass and tending to her cows. But most of all she enjoyed making memories with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gregory Robin; sons, Dustin Robin and wife, Susan and Jake Robin and wife, Holly; 3 grandchildren, Dillon Robin, Maverick Robin and Karli Rae Robin; brother, Todd Guidry and wife, Rebecca; and nephew, Devin Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Edna Mae Guidry; and brother, Brian Guidry.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Boudreaux. The funeral home will reopen from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Robin, Jake Robin, Cody Broussard, Todd Guidry, Gary Stoute and Kenneth Marks. Honorary pallbearer will be Myran Gauthier.
