Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Pamela Renee Malone at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, Fr. Corey Campeaux will officiate the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. There will be no visitation in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
Pam, a beloved soul whose presence warmed the hearts of everyone she encountered, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the Willis Knighton Piermont Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on January 1, 1967, in Springhill, Louisiana, Pamela was a firecracker within her family and cherished by all who knew her.
Pam's infectious laugh and mischievous personality endeared her to her loved ones. Pam loved singing along with her family to her nursery rhymes, watching The Price is Right, and throwing her ball with Robbie and Kathy. Pam always looked forward to her rides whether they were in the car or the school bus. She was a devoted daughter to her loving mother, Laura Budden Allegood Strawitz and her late father, Robert L. Malone, Jr.
Pam is survived by her mother, Laura Budden Allegood Strawitz, husband, Peter, as well as her sister, Melanie Malone Bihm husband, Ty, and her brother, Robert "Robbie" Malone, III wife, Kathy. Her niece, Allison Bihm Dinger husband, Seth, and her nephew, Nick Bihm wife, Katherine and her great nephews, Everett, Robert Dylan, and William.
Pam is now reunited with her father, Robert L. Malone, Jr., paternal grandparents, Cynthia Weaver Malone and Robert L. Malone, Sr., and her maternal grandparents, Rita Boudreaux Budden and Patrick Allen "Chuck" Budden, all of whom undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
Throughout her life, Pam's warmth and love radiated, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to share her journey. Her legacy will forever be carried on through the memories of her family and friends, who will always remember her as a remarkable person, full of life and love.
A special thanks to Arc of Acadiana North West and her caregivers for their unwavering love and compassion shown to Pam through out her life.
In Lieu of flowers, family request memorial's be made in Pamela's name to St. Jude, Shiners Children Hospital or a charity of your choice.
