Nancy Nell Johnson Moreau

Opelousas--A funeral service will be held for Nancy Nell Johnson Moreau on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary at 1:45 p.m. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

 Visitation will began at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home until time of service.

Nancy, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on December 14, 1934, Nancy dedicated eight years of her life to serving the Department of Health and Human Resources as a Secretary/Clerk, exemplifying her commitment to helping others.

Nancy's life was rich with varied interests and hobbies that reflected her nurturing spirit. An avid gardener, she found joy in cultivating plants and flowers, creating a serene outdoor space for her family to enjoy. Her love for reading the Bible often provided her with strength, comfort, and guidance throughout her life. A passionate cook and baker, her culinary creations were a source of delight for her family and friends, often bringing them together around the dining table.

Nancy is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer Moreau of Lawtell; her sister, Dorothy Borison of Lafayette; and her cherished grandchildren, Stacey Granger, Lance Castille, Benjamin Castille, and Brandon Castille. Together they will carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion.

She is preceded in death by her dear husband, Bobery J. Moreau; her daughter, Marcella "Marcy" Credeur; her brother, Jessie Johnson; her sisters, Suzanne Aguillard and Yvonne Borison; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Credeur. Additionally, she mourns the loss of her grandchildren, Joshua and Amy Renee Credeur, great-great grandson, Greyson Hammer, who hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.

Nancy's memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her. Her indelible spirit and warmth will remain in the hearts of many, a testament to a life well-lived.
