Mitchell Glasscock

Opelousas – A Memorial Service for Mitchell Glasscock will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas; visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Inurnment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Mitchell, age 64, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his residence in Opelousas.

Mitchell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved cooking and spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening with his wife. Mitchell was an avid Saints fan and enjoyed watching football. He worked as an avionics technician and enjoyed fixing all electronics. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Phyllis Basco Glasscock of Opelousas; sons, Christopher J. Glasscock of Opelousas and Seth Glasscock and wife, Katie of Opelousas; daughter, Cicily G. Bentivegna and husband, Paul of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers Seeman Glasscock II of Carencro and Matthew Glasscock of Opelousas; sisters, Catherine G. Dupre and husband, Mickey of Opelousas and Elizabeth G. Zerangue and husband, Darryl of Opelousas; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents, Seeman Jr. and Monica Glasscock; brother, Gary Glasscock; and sister, Monica Glasscock.
