Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for Milton Ray Courville on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:30 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Courville Cemetery in Eunice, La.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 am until 1:30 pm until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm in the chapel by Fr. Clint Trahan.

In loving memory of Milton Ray Courville, entered into eternal rest at the age of 68, at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Milton is survived by his daughter, Alanna Anne Courville Allen and her husband, Jackie Ray Allen of Heber, AR; brothers, Clayton Courville of Opelousas, La and Billy Courville of Opelousas, La; sisters, Beverly Chautin and her husband, Ronnie of Opelousas, and Amanda Bergeron & Glen Boudreaux of Port Barre; sister in-law, Diane Courville of Washington, La; 3 grandchildren, Seth Ray Allen, Trinity Rayne Tomlinson and her husband, Fisher, and Kurt Lennon Allen; 2 great-grandchildren, Luca Ray Tomlinson and Asher Lennon Tomlinson; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Courville & Berna Fontenot Courville; brothers, Adam Courville, Melton Courville, and Tony Courville; sisters, Mary Singleton and Bonnie Courville.

Milton had a remarkable spirit that was evident in all that he cherished. He loved to play the drums, finding joy and expression in the beats and melodies that filled his home and heart. His talent as a drummer brought warmth and lively energy to gatherings, creating moments that those around him will treasure forever. Beyond his musical gifts, Milton was a highly skilled mechanic. His hands brought life and reliability to countless vehicles and machines, a testimony to his patience, dedication, and keen intellect.

His love for the outdoors was profound. Milton was an avid hunter and fisher, often finding solace and peace amidst nature’s beauty. These pursuits not only reflected his appreciation for the natural world but also provided him with cherished times of reflection and connection.

Above all, Milton’s greatest joy came from his family. He held a special place in his heart for his daughter, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren, whose lives he brightened with his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. His love for his family was evident in every interaction, a pillar of strength and comfort to those privileged to know him.
