Melissa Bazar, a loving and caring homemaker, passed away on January 8, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1964, in Opelousas, Louisiana. Melissa was a remarkable individual who dedicated her life to her family and brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her kind-hearted nature and selfless personality made her loved by all.

Melissa grew up in Port Barre and attended Port Barre High School. Though she pursued a different path than a formal career, Melissa's focus on nurturing a loving home for her family was an achievement in itself. She took pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment for her loved ones.

One of Melissa's favorite pastimes was riding horses. She found solace and joy in the bond between rider and horse, appreciating the freedom and connection with nature that it provided. Melissa also cherished spending peaceful afternoons on her porch, gazing at the picturesque bayou. These moments allowed her to reflect on life's beauty and find tranquility amidst the chaos of everyday life.

Above all else, Melissa cherished her time with her grandchildren. She adored them with a love that knew no bounds. Whether it was attending their recitals, cheering at sports events, or simply sharing laughter and stories around the dinner table, Melissa treasured every moment spent with them.

Melissa is proceeded in death by her husband, George Wyble. They shared a strong bond built on love, trust, and mutual support throughout their years together. Her parents Walter Bazar and Patricia Artigue  were a source of inspiration for Melissa and played an active role in shaping her compassionate character.

Melissa held dear the memories of MawMaw Bonnie and Pawpaw Walter Bazar, her beloved grandparents who provided guidance during her formative years. The loss of her brother Kevin Bazar left an indelible mark on Melissa's heart; his memory will always remain vivid in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Melissa is also survived by her sons, Dusty Bazar of Grand Prairie, Jason Macip (Heather) of Port Barre, and Kyle Bazar of Grand Prairie. Her unwavering love and support shaped the men they became, and her legacy lives on in their hearts.

In addition to her sons, Melissa is survived by her brother Patrick Bazar of Texas and sisters Victoria Bazar of Texas and Laurie Albert (Roland) of Catahoula, LA. Their bond as siblings was forged in the love and understanding they shared.

Melissa's grandchildren were the lights of her life. Hunter Bazar, Logan Pollock, Dacota Macip, and Bre 'Anna Macip held a special place in their grandmother's heart. Melissa's nurturing presence will forever be remembered by them.

Her godchildren, Dustin Metrejean and Shelby Metrejean, were fortunate to have Melissa as a guiding influence in their lives. She provided them with unwavering support and served as a pillar of strength throughout their journey.

Melissa had tight-knit familial connections beyond immediate family as well. Her god mother Glenda Myers and uncle Michael Myers shared a special bond with Melissa that transcended bloodlines. God daughter Ashley Myers and Dustin Lafleur were also cherished members of her extended family. The love she poured into these relationships was immeasurable.

Melissa Bazar will forever be remembered for her dedication to family, her compassionate soul, and the love she bestowed upon all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

As we say our final goodbyes to Melissa, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and carry forth the lessons she taught us about the importance of love, kindness, and cherishing precious moments with our loved ones.
