Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary Lillian Leger at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial Will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary Lillian Leger, born on November 22, 1937, in Church Point, Louisiana, she left this world on February 23, 2026. at the age of 88. A retired real estate residential and commercial appraiser, Lillian dedicated her career to serving her community alongside her husband, Glen, as they established themselves as respected real estate brokers and developers.
Lillian was surrounded by love throughout her life. She was a vibrant soul who never met a stranger, embedding herself in the hearts of many through her warm personality and connections. Her family and a wide circle of friends cherished her dearly. Lillian enjoyed various hobbies, including trips to the casino and playing Bouree with her friends, which brought her much joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Prather and her husband Randy, and Pam Harmon and her husband Keith, all of Opelousas. Also holding a special place in her heart was her nephew Michael LeJeune, who was like a son to her. Lillian's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Katie Miller (J.W.), Chelsea Mistric, Christina Belton (Kevin), and Savanna Boss (Jarret), as well as her eight great-grandchildren, Lily Miller, Kade Miller, Levi Mistric, Ivy Mistric, Carter Belton, Cameron Belton, Weston Boss, and Rosalie Boss, she also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glinden (Glen) Leger; her son, Dwayne Leger; her parents, Adam and Leta Lavergne LeJeune; and her brother, Abram LeJeune. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her, as she made an indelible impact on the lives she touched.
Pallbearers will be Randy Prather, Keith Harmon, Michael LeJeune, Adam LeJeune, Scott Wartelle, Kevin Belton, Jarret Boss, and Greg McCord.
Honorary pallbearers will be her 5 great grand sons, Kade Miller, Carter Belton, Cameron Belton, Levi Mistric, and Weston Boss.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
