Mary Davenport

A Memorial Service for Mary Ann Davenport will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.

Mary, age 85, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and reading her favorite books.

Mary is survived by her son, Ricky Davenport and his wife, Marian of Opelousas; daughter Toni Lorio and husband, Morgan of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Alton and Nick Soileau; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, John Davenport; second husband, Malcolm Martin; parents, Alton and Antionette Soileau; one brother, Theodore Soileau, and her baby girl, Mary Davenport.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Louisiana Hospice and all the friends who were a part of her life, especially her dear friend, Cliff Lavergne.

In lieu of flowers the family request you make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
