Opelousas-- Funeral service for Mark Antoine Menard will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Mark, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected diesel mechanic, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, at the age of 49. Born on February 28, 1975, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Mark was known for his loving and caring nature both inside and out. His warm heart and genuine spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark’s professional journey was defined by his passion for mechanics; he was a great diesel mechanic, a career that he approached with dedication and pride. His skills not only exemplified his work ethic but also aided countless individuals and families in their time of need.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 28 years, Alison Hilliard Menard, and their three daughters, Mallory Ann Menard of Blanchard, Louisiana, Madison Elizabeth Menard of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Markie Ann Menard of Shreveport, Louisiana. Mark's family was paramount in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Mark is survived by his mother, Garnett Wenk Menard, of Opelousas, Louisiana, and his siblings: brothers Scott Curtis Menard (Tammy Rena) of Roopville, Georgia, and Norman Menard, Jr. (Ashley) of Opelousas, as well as sister Stacie Jo Edmond (Guy) of Opelousas. He was also the proud grandparent of his grandchild, River Layne Delille, and is remembered fondly by a host of nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Norman Menard Sr., his paternal grandparents Antoine and Melda Menard, his maternal grandparents Curtis and Helen Ledoux, and his father-in-law, John Randy Hilliard.

Mark Antoine Menard leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication that will be cherished by his family and friends for years to come. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

A visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2024 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
