Lucille Bourque

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lucille Woodson Bourque, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017, at Our lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Fr. Greg Simian will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.
Lucille, age 101, a resident of Opelousas passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook for her family, listen to French music and her passion was fishing.
She is survived by sons, Michael Bourque and his wife, Phyllis of Opelousas, and George Bourque and his wife, Elaine of Cut off, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bourque, her parents, Colda and Alida Quebedeaux Woodson, and thirteen brothers and sisters.
The family requests visitation be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017. A rosary will be prayed by at 1:00 p.m.
