Opelousas--A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Louis John Guillory, Jr. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Landry Catholic Church. Fr. Neil Pettit will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, La. Visitation will began on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home until time of Mass.

Louis, a loved member of the community and a devoted family man, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 94, at the Opelousas General Health System. Born on July 25, 1931, in Whiteville, Louisiana, Louis lived a life filled with purpose, dedication, and love for those around him.

As the proud owner of a successful flooring company, Louis was known for his exceptional craftsmanship. It was said that all the flooring jobs he completed were nothing short of the best. His work not only brought him satisfaction but also highlighted his commitment to excellence—a trait he carried into every aspect of his life.

Louis served his country honorably in the Army, a testament to his character and integrity. He was a very loving and caring person who cherished his family deeply. His legacy is carried on by his sons, Kent Guillory (Annette) of Opelousas and Johnathan Guillory (Carrissa) of Abbeville; daughters, Tina Guillory Fink (George) of Lake Charles, Lori Guillory (companion, Michel Meche) of Grand Prairie, and Rachel Guillory Bourque (Kindal) of Maurice; and his sister, Emily Faulkenberry of Point Blue. Additionally, Louis was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Among those who will forever cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Emma Grace Lanclos Guillory, who predeceased him, along with his parents, Louis, Sr. and Agnes Guillory, daughter, Joan Elaine Guillory, brothers, Allen Guillory and Emery Guillory, and sisters, Loretta Cody, Mabris Deranger, and Velma Dirmann.

Louis John Guillory, Jr. leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family, and strong work ethic that will inspire all who knew him. He will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by his family and friends.
