Opelousas Funeral services for Ms. Leslie Marie Klein, age 47, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Private Interment will follow at a later time in the St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville.

Father Kenneth Domingue will officiate the Mass.

Leslie was a resident of Sunset. She died on Monday, March 9, 2009, at LSUHSC- University Medical Center in Lafayette.

She was born in Mamou and lived in Eunice as a young adult. She was a seamstress, homemaker, a devoted and wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a happy person and loved to laugh. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and her many friends. Her hobbies include doing cross-stitching, embroidery, reading, playing Bonko with her group. She will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Rory Klein and girlfriend, Chrissie Brown, both of Sunset; parents: James and Wilma Klein of Leonville; maternal grandmother, Leise Carrier of Eunice; three brothers: James Carroll Klein and wife, Cindy of Leonville; Michael Dwayne Klein and wife, Melinda of Deville; Brent Joseph Klein of Leonville; sister, Rhonda Gail Tate and husband, Roger of Opelousas; godmother, Gloria Naquin; godfather, Kermit LeJeune; godchild, Jordan Tate; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors. She also had three special friends: Millie Courville; Celida Cee-Cee McDaniels, and Debbie Banks.

Leslie was preceded in death by her infant son, Joshua Joseph Klein; Paternal grandparents, John James Klein and Doris Bertrand Klein; and maternal grandfather, Leonce Carrier.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
