Lenora Noel– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Lenora Noel on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the service. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Leo Catholic Mausoleum in Leonville.

Lenora, age 84, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Opelousas General Hospital.

Lenora loved her children, grandchildren, and grand dogs, she loved doing crosswords and spending time with Betty Provost. She worked for 60 years at Savioes Sausage and Food Products. The family would like to say a special thanks to Ms. Betty Provost and St. Landry Home Health for taking excellent care of Mrs. Lenora.

Lenora is survived by her sons; Russell (Judie) Schexneider of Port Barre, Alton Noel Jr. of Port Barre, daughters; Margaret Beard (Michael) of Opelousas, Eunice Ann David of Opelousas, and Odelia M. Patterson (Aaron) of Ringgold, GA, six grandchildren; Chris Schexneider, Rebecca Lewis, Angel Beard, Shane Beard, Mikayla Patterson, and Brianna Patterson, fifteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lenora is preceded in death by her husbands; Joseph Homer David Sr., and Alton Noel Sr., parents; Clouble & Helena Schexneider, son; Joseph Homer David Jr., sister; Lovenia Stelly, brothers; Joseph Schexneider, Jules Schexneider, Issac Schexneider, and Wilfred Schexneider.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
