Leanna Briley

Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Leanna Lemoine Briley, on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Msgr. Russell Harrington will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Leanna, age 82, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by children, Robert E. Briley, Jr. (Caren) of North Carolina, Paul E. Briley (Nancy) of Opelousas, Michael W. Briley (Greta) Terry, Mississippi, Frank D. Briley (William Channing) of Honey Grove, Texas, and Cynthia M. Briley of Opelousas, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Briley, Sr., parents, Clifton J. Lemoine and Bernadette S. Lemoine, six, brothers, and three, sisters.
Pallbearers will be Robert Briley, Jr., Paul Briley, Michael Briley, Frank Briley, Nicholas Briley and Christopher Briley.
The family requests visitation be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday by Deacon John Miller. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
