Kenneth Charles Food Kenny Fontenot

Lawtell Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Charles Food Kenny Fontenot, 48, will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery in Opelousas.

Father Picard will conduct the services.

Mr. Fontenot was a resident of Opelousas and died at 9:15 a.m. in Opelousas.

He was a 1976 graduate of Lawtell High School, a past member of FFA, and Farm Bureau. Mr. Kenny was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include: His parents: George and Mary Jane Fontenot of Prairie Ronde; three daughters: Tiffany Bieber and husband, Johnathan Link of Opelousas; Amy Kidder and husband, Brandon of Carencro; and Natalie Fontenot of Lawtell; grandchildren: Ashlyn Bieber of Opelousas; and Alysse Kidder of Carencro, brothers and sisters: Diane Vidrine and husband, Darrel of Stafford, VA; Gerald Fontenot and wife, Mary of Prairie Ronde; Randy Fontenot and wife, Jamie of Lawtell; Michael Fontenot of Opelousas; Steven Fontenot and wife, Rhonda of Lawtell; Jimmy Fontenot and wife, Anna of Prairie Ronde; and Jenny Fontenot of Lawtell; three godchildren: April Faul, Dustin Darbonne, and Shannon Vidrine; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Mr. Fontenot was preceded in death by one brother, John Fontenot; his grandparents: Alphonse and Helena Fontenot and Amos and Easter Francois.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, May 7 from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
