OPELOUSAS – A Funeral Service for Kenneth Wayne DeVillier will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Carl Benton of Living Glory Church will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Kenneth, age 56, son of Leland and Mary Grace Lalonde DeVillier passed away at home on Monday, June 14, 2021 after a long illness.

Kenny enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved cooking and sharing in a good meal with friends and playing a game of cards. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Shelly Moran DeVillier of Opelousas; his daughter, Gabriella DeVillier; his brothers, Lenny and wife, Sharon Fontenot DeVillier, Robert Dale and wife, Charlotte Durio DeVillier; sister, Sheila DeVillier Kidder; his in-laws, Greg Kerr and LouEulla Benoit; his aunt, Hazel “Nannie” Phillips; and a host of sisters-in-law and brother-in-law.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Mary Grace Lalonde DeVillier; his sister, Barbara “Sista” Gail DeVillier Cason; his brothers, Mike, Carl, Leland, Jr., Glenn “Tiny” and David DeVillier; his nephew, Lenny Paul DeVillier, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Sydney Lalonde and Ida Marks Lalonde; and his paternal grandparents, Hector DeVillier and Noeda Bergeron DeVillier.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.

Pallbearers will be Lenny DeVillier, Bookie Fontenot, Brad Ortego, Wyatt DeVillier, David DeVillier, Jr. and Alex Kidder.
