With profound sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Kelly Calaway Armand, who left this world on August 9, 2026, in Port Barre, Louisiana, with her loving husband at her side. Kelly was born on May 26, 1959, in San Bernardino, California, the cherished daughter of William Calaway and Helen Ayers Calaway, who preceded her in death.
From her earliest days, Kelly exhibited a compassionate heart and resilient spirit. Those who knew her best remember her as someone whose gentle grace was matched by steadfast kindness—a friend to many and a source of comfort to all who crossed her path. Her dedication to serving others extended into her chosen career. As a caretaker with home health, Kelly’s warmth and patience touched the lives of many families.
Kelly answered the call to serve her country as a member of the United States Army, where she served for a short time before being honorably discharged. Though her military journey was brief, she always carried with her a quiet pride and sense of duty that shaped her life and relationships.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Herman Armand; step-son, John Reed; step-daughter, Angie Reed; and her sister, Susan Delaney.
Kelly Calaway Armand’s life was a testament to quiet service and unassuming love. As we honor her memory, may we be guided by her example of generosity and compassion.
