WASHINGTON- A Graveside Service will be held on (DATE AND TIME PENDING) in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Kathleen S. DePrimo, a beloved matriarch and devoted member of her community, entered into eternal rest on December 30, 2025, at Opelousas General Health System. Born on December 20, 1939, in Beggs, Louisiana, Kathleen dedicated over fifty years to her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), with a notable twenty-five years at OGHS, where she touched countless lives with her compassion and skill.

Kathleen was known as the backbone of her family, a steadfast source of strength and support whose presence was a soothing influence in the lives of those around her. Her unwavering commitment to her loved ones and community characterized her personality; she truly embodied the spirit of giving back. Kathleen was deeply involved with various religious organizations, which reflected her faith and desire to uplift others.

In addition to her professional and community endeavors, Kathleen brought joy to her family through her passion for cooking. It was a favorite pastime that brought everyone together, creating cherished memories around the dinner table. She also found happiness in sewing and crocheting, skills she shared generously, crafting beautiful gifts for family and friends. Kathleen had a special fondness for visiting with the elderly, listening to their stories, and offering companionship.

Kathleen is survived by her son, H.P. Dunn, Jr.; daughters, Melody Dunn Robertson, Kathy Annette Dunn Fruge, Kerry Lee Kruger and Vicki Dunn Burgess; sister, Ann Stephenson Ruffino; 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Carl Joseph DePrimo, Sr.; son, James Gregory Dunn and infant son, Joey Dunn; parents, Robert Louis Stephenson and Maude Jacque Letherman Stephenson; brothers, Billie James and John Claude Stephenson; and 2 great-grandsons, Justin Dunn and Gavin Stelly.

Surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, Kathleen leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will be remembered by many. She touched the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire future generations.
